7-Day Ayahuasca Retreat in Tulum · Autumn Equinox

Casa Arkaana holds ayahuasca ceremonies in the Shipibo tradition — a lineage carried into Mexico over 11 years of apprenticeship with Maestro Gilberto Mahua of the Shipibo people.

For this retreat, we’re joined by Jurriën, a facilitator who lived for years with Maestro Gilberto’s family in the Amazon and has been holding ceremonies in that tradition ever since. Asdru and Maja hold the container alongside him — Mexican-born husband and European wife who have walked this path together with the Shipibo maestros for over a decade.

The retreat is set for the Autumn Equinox — the moment when light and dark stand in perfect balance. Three ceremonies over seven days. A maximum of eight guests. Held in a hand-built temple in the Mayan jungle, twenty minutes north of Tulum.

Before we accept anyone, we meet on a video call and review your medical and emotional readiness. This is for people who have felt the call for a long time, and are ready to sit with the medicine in a safe, prepared, and honestly-held container.

THE SPACE
Casa Arkaana sits on a permaculture sanctuary deep in the Riviera Maya jungle. Our temple — confirmed by multiple facilitators as the finest ceremonial space in the region — holds up to 12 participants in intimate ceremony. Our cenote-fed pool, sacred garden, and open-air architecture make this one of the most grounded and alive retreat spaces in Mexico.
